“You won’t go anywhere alone”
Have you ever tried playing football alone against a team? I have, and I was really feeling the strongest. I was part of a team, but I felt strong, I wanted to play alone. However, after I while I would lose control of the ball and the opponent would counterattack. It took me some time to learn the lesson, to admit I couldn’t do everything by myself and that I needed someone else.
My youth has taught me a lot, but the most important lesson was:
You won’t go anywhere alone.
Since then, I’ve always tried to improve my sharing capacities and now I focus more on my fellows rather than on myself: the strongest the weakest link becomes the better for the team. This is the right mood, but it’s not enough if you want to work with a team or to manage it. This lesson must be applied every day, on every occasion, especially when you would leave it all to yourself. Right then, give in to your team, because that’s the time they need your trust the most.
Do it everyday, when things get tough and you will be certainly rewarded.
