“Everyone of us as a Talent inside”
“Run, run!!” a child cried in the middle of a square “This guy is so good in his acrobatics!”
All passers-by and me gathered around him: we were fascinated by his many somersaults and his tricks with balls and sticks. We stared jaw-dropping for 30 minutes at that young guy and at the beautiful things he was doing at the Numana market place.
His accent was odd and at each word he smiled and nodded as a sign of respect to his spectators. Each move was a nature enigma for all of us. He was passionate in involving the public and the sweat dripped on his forehead and along his body, almost powerless.
The show was closed to the end, but people couldn’t get enough, they would incite him to go on, children looking up at him, old people bowed down but entangled in his movements, while all the others were wondering whether they could do the same. “You could do it, too daddy, don’t you?” asked my son. I looked at him with a smile, and, as a warrior in the arena, I answered “Yes…almost certainly, maybe, I don’t know, but now let’s get back to him”.
The show came finally to the end, many children and grown-ups filled his hat with coins. My children were the last ones, they were almost intimidated by such an ability, they were worried of this stranger, but then the acrobat turned around and started training them with balls.
“Come on, do like this, then like that, very good, don’t worry about failing, at first everything seems so hard but you will improve by and by. Very good guys, now try with two balls, keep staring in front of you, fall in love with the game, feel the music getting out of you while you play. Ok, now the third ball. Good, I told you it wasn’t so hard…”
The magic of the night was almost over and the square was emptying. Barbara, my life companion, got close to thank him, and, multi-language as she is, started talking with him.
“I’m from Brasil, Sao Paolo, life is hard there for one like me who loves playing in the street. I sold everything I got, even my Yoga books, which I loved so much. After taking out a loan I bade my family goodbye and now I’m travelling Italian squares to make practice and earn money to study in a school of professionals, so that I can improve and live my passion to the fullest. I live and travel in my camper, my life is passion and my passion is living to perform and make people happy”. Then he added: “you know, the world today needs happier people and I want to be the best so that I can do good and make this world better”.
Barbara was stunned, he gave him money, don’t know how much, probably all she had with her and said “we want to help you with your dream”.
What you need to do is looking inside yourself to find your Talent, enhance it and get so passionate about it to turn it into your work and give your life some peace… That’s just it… but this is the reason why it is important to have the courage to give everything Now.
Talent is not necessarily behind a school desk or in an office or as head of a company. Talent is a source and its importance lies in the performance everyone can make out of it. You can express your talent at any level and the more you are aware of it, the happier you are.
What are you willing to do to realize that one thing you really care for? If your answer is everything, well, you can be sure that happiness is working to realize it.
