Ecological

“To prevent side effects on us and the others.”

I very often have to face choices, I like it and one of my distinctive features is that I’m decision-ready.

Of course, I take every single aspect into consideration, but I analyse them quickly (timing is short thanks to my professional and private experiences), I assess pros and cons and then take action. I’ve always taken my responsibilities for any single choice, and I mean, really, 100% responsible.

For this reason, I’ve always thought to be at an advantage compared to the undecided ones: and yet, I’m their protection…keep it cool, I’m here for you!

There was a time, however, when these responsibilities shook my security. I was doubtful, wondering whether my decisions for my goals were ecological enough for me and the people around me. That is, consequences of a goal must protect any aspect of our life and the others’.

The ecological goal doesn’t tread the boundaries, the limits of our conscience that we don’t feel like to trespass. The goal reached cannot be against our principle, be they human or behavioural.

One of the greatest lessons I learnt in my life was in a cold night, on the pavement, scared to death for an accident which almost killed me. I realized what I had been through and the emptiness my beloved ones would have lived with. Stop to start again is far better than run to run after…

Any decision we take, any action we make has consequences on us and people around us. Being aware of that is a way to analyse consequences better: once they are ecological, we will turn them into actions.

The price we are ready to pay to reach that goal is critical to define the goal itself.
